3-year-old boy dies inside parked car in Houston because of the hot weather

3-year-old boy who wandered into a car while looking for his toy died after being unable to get out of the vehicle. The boy entered the car parked near a house to retrieve his toy from the back seat on Thursday,  said the spokesperson of the Houston Police Department.

He entered through the unlocked front door and climbed into the back seat. Once he got into the back seat, he couldn't open the back door because the child protective locks were on, Smith said.

A Pakistani man, Saqib Masih, 21, on the evening of June 10 beats his teenage sister, Anum Masih to death, smashing her skull with a large wooden stick, because he didn't want her to marry her boyfriend.

"She wanted to marry, we didn't agree on this wedding. We were arguing," Saqib spoke from a police cell in the city of Sialkot. "She was my sister. I didn't mean to kill her. I've been crying ever since. She was my sister."

His body was found 'intact' 17 hours after he was grabbed by the alligator while paddling in water 10 feet from the shore at the upscale Grand Floridian Resort & Spa close to the Magic Kingdom.

Search is on-going to find a 2-year-old boy who was attacked by an alligator and dragged into a lagoon at a Disney hotel near Orlando.The child was "wading just in the water along the lake's edge at the time that the alligator attacked". Thailand airline apologizes after pilots joke about crashing plane with ex-PM, her son and entourage on board

Thai budget carrier Nok Air has formally apologized to the country's former leader after one of its pilots wrote an "inappropriate" message about the flight she boarded. The pilot in question, who has not been named, took a photo of former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra together with her son and entourage while they were walking to board the aircraft. Elegushi beach managers arrested by Police over drowned UNILAG students

25-year-old Funmi Odusina and Adesola Ogunmefun were having fun with their friend, Bolu on the beach on Sunday during a birthday celebration when they were submerged by strong wave which swept them into the beach. They graduated from the Covenant University and were on Master’s Degrees programme in International Law and Diplomacy in UNILAG.

Bolu and Odusina were said to have been rushed to some private hospitals in the area which rejected them, while Ogunmefun was brought out dead. Bolu later survived but, Odusina died on the way to the Lagos Island General Hospital.

The World Health Organization has congratulated Thailand as the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis. It is also the first with a "large HIV epidemic" to eradicate mother-to-child transmission of the diseases. In 2014, an estimated 450,000 people were living with HIV in Thailand.

Another woman dies in fatal Australian shark attack, the second in a week

A female diver died in an apparent shark attack off Australia's west coast on Sunday, making it the second fatal shark attack recorded in the area in less than a week. 43-year-old dive partner at a popular spot called Mindarie, about 35 kilometers (21 miles) north of Perth, when she was attacked, according to police.

Police said the man tried to pull her from the water following the attack, but she died before they made it to shore.

The bodies of four missing US soldiers have been recovered after their vehicle overturned while crossing a flooded riverbank at Fort Hood, Texas

Three soldiers were found dead shortly after the incident and two more bodies were recovered late on Thursday night. Foot Hood officials said the 2.5-ton vehicle was conducting a routine exercise when it was swept away by the current amid heavy flooding. Three of the occupants survived and were discharged from Fort Hood's hospital on Friday. The four bodies were found downstream from the Owl Creek Tactical Crossing where the vehicle was swept away, said Maj Gen John Uberti, deputy commander at Fort Hood and the army has not identified any of the victims while it notifies relatives.

Mike Richardson and Robbie were on their way to a car wash last Saturday. The father stopped at a red light before taking a right turn. That's legal in Massachusetts. When Robbie saw him drive past a red light, he did what he thought was the right thing to do, he called the cops. Four GMC Construction Company workers have been arrested for abducting Chinese boss

Four workers of GMC Construction Company in the Ajah area of Lagos state has been  arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly abducting their Chinese boss, Hang Kumming at about 5am on Sunday.

It was learnt that the expatriate was returning home from work, when a seven-man gang of gunmen attacked him, beat up his driver and whisked him away in a car. Punch gathered that the case was reported at the Area J Police Command, Ajah, and thereafter transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja. Police operatives on Tuesday were reported to have arrested the four workers – Amos Loko, Adebowale Johnson, Oluwadare Segun and Videgnonz Taiye.

Fake herbalist, Seyi Ade, an Ordinary National Diploma, OND, in Business Administration holder of the Ibadan Polytechnic, yesterday revealed how he collected N2.5 million to prepare concoction two months ago from a staff of one of the new generation banks who approached him for money ritual. 

The banker called in the Police after the concoction failed to yield expected results and during investigation, he confessed to be a fake herbalist. 

Pakistani woman who was set on fire for rejecting a marriage proposal dies

18-year-old Pakistani schoolteacher died Wednesday from injuries after her body was set on fire for refusing a marriage proposal, police said. The perpetrators beat Maria Abbasi, then drenched her in petrol and set her body ablaze before leaving her for dead, her family members said.

 

"Maria was at home baby-sitting her 5-year-old sister while her family went to a funeral in a nearby town," said Rafaqat Abbasi, her uncle.

"At the funeral her family was alerted that she 'was on fire.' Initially the thought was there had been some sort of accident, perhaps a pipe had burst or something."

Abuja landlord whose 16- year-old daughter went missing, accuses tenant of abduction

Abuja landlord in the Kapwa, Federal Housing Estate, Lugbe, Abuja, Alex Osuji, has accused his tenant, Cornelius Ubara, of abducting his daughter, Precious. He said he left 16-year-old Precious at home for a banking transaction on November 13, 2015, the day of the incident.

According to him, when he returned home, his wife told him their daughter had gone missing.Alex said they called Precious’ mobile line, but it was switched off, adding that nobody could offer any clue about her whereabouts. He said  their neighbour, Ubara, who was around when he left the house, denied seeing her that day.

Woman who stole one-year-old child and was captured by CCTV has been arrested

Zainab Salisu, who allegedly disguised as a customer to abduct a one-year-old girl, Fehintola Lawal, in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State has been arrested by the police. Salisu was arrested on Wednesday by policemen attached to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, in the Idimu area of the state. It was learnt that Fehintola and another toddler were found at the hideout, rescued from the suspect before she was whisked away by the police.

Police arrests Chinese teen who sneaked into the cargo of an Emirates A380 passenger flight to Dubai

A Chinese boy has been arrested for stowing away on a plane from Shanghai to Dubai, where he reportedly planned to make a fortune begging for money.

Chinese state media reported the 16-year-old from Bazhong City in China's Sichuan province climbed a fence at Shanghai's Pudong Airport on May 26 and sneaked into the cargo hold of an Emirates A380 passenger plane. He hid there for the entire 9.5-hour flight.
