Seyi Shay Apologizes To Wizkid, Saying - "She Was Misinformed"

Seyi Shay found herself in the middle of a controversy on Sunday night after she said Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Wizkid wrote the One Dance hit song for Drake. Seyi who is in Jamaica, granted an interview to DJ Akademiks on Onstage TV. When asked about the song, she said it was originally written by Wizkid. Wizkid afterwards took to twitter to tell her to shut up and responded to a fan saying she lied.

She disclosed in her interview that;

“The same debate that he sampled an Afro-beat is going on in Africa right now. That song is actually Wizkid's song, so it's not Drake's song. I don’t know if I can talk about this but Wizkid wrote it. Legendary beat did the beat and some other Nigerian producers produced it as an Afro-beat song and they stripped a lot of the music away and just left the rhythm”.

Although Seyi Shay has issued an apology to salvage the situation so it doesn't go out of hand, claiming that she was misinformed and spoke based on hearsay but, shouldn't she have at list confirmed the hearsay before she spoke about it in the interview?
