Just over a week ago, Lil Wayne reminded concertgoers in the Denver area that he is still not cool with Cash Money Records.
While addressing fans at a show in Phoenix over the weekend, he’s
made it clear his feelings haven’t changed one bit in the past several
days, echoing his sentiments against Birdman and Cash Money from previous shows once more.
Earlier this year, it appeared as though Weezy and his former label boss would be able to work out their differences. But as time presses on, it’s starting to feel like that window of opportunity has closed.
Wayne opened up to the Phoenix crowd, detailing a little bit more about his recent headache.
“I’m going through a lot of bullshit right now," he said. "These
niggas got me in bars right now. They don't want to see me make good
music. I don’t know what the fuck’s going on, but fuck them niggas.”
He also threw in a “Fuck the Birdman” chant, much like he did in Denver. Luckily, the show wasn’t all doom and gloom, with the rapper sharing some good news with fans. "I want y'all to know I've got two new albums coming y'all way,” he told an excitable crowd.
While details about when or how these projects will be released is
scarce, there’s a good chance they will be released for free or through a
streaming service, such as Tidal.
