2015 JUNE/JULY NECO RESULT RELEASED...



The National Examinations Council (NECO) on Thursday, September 10, 2015, released the June/July 2015 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) results with a remarkable improvement in core subjects, including English and Mathematics compared to previous year’s examinations.

A comparison of the performances of the students who sat for the examination in 2014 and 2015 shows showed that in 2014 a total of 978, 886 candidates sat with 511, 931 scoring five credits and above including English and Mathematics with an increase within the fiscal year, 2015.
Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, announcing details of the results at the council’s national headquarters in Minna, Niger State, on Thursday, noted that the results which showed 83.28 per cent

credit pass in

English Language and 80.74 per cent credit pass in Mathematics is an improvement on the previous exams conducted between 2011 and 2014.

Garba, who is performing his first assignment/release of the examination results since his assumption of office exactly one hundred days ago said, 969, 991 candidates registered for the examinations, out of which 969,491 actually sat for the papers with 68.56 per cent of the candidates recorded five

Credits and above including English and Mathematics.

In the comparative analysis of 2014 and 2015 June/July SSCE, it showed that in 2014 978,886 candidates sat with 511,931 recording five credits and above including English and Mathematics while in 2015, the Council had 969,491 candidates, who sat for the examinations recording 68.56 percent credits

including Mathematics and English.

In the analysis of candidates performance by states, Delta

State? scored the

highest in five credits and above including English and

Mathematics with 83.51

percent, and Edo state follows suit with 83.42

per cent.
