Due to some unfortunate events surrounding the New York rapper, he’s
been in jail since December 2014. The way he was put there was recently
revealed by Sha Money, who sat down with GQ to talk about the events of that night.
Interestingly, he also remembered some advice Busta Rhymes gave
Bobby right before he was incarcerated. According to the Epic executive, he and
Shmurda were riding down an elevator at Quad Studios and during their ride, he
advised him to keep a lower profile. When they reached a lower studio floor,
that’s when Busta tried to join them, but couldn’t. As the doors were closing
he told Bobby, “You got to be safe out there, mon.”
Bobby Shmurda, real name Ackquille Pollard, is still awaiting trial.
He was
arrested for conspiracy and other weapons and drug charges and has
been denied
bond seven different times. His arrest was in connection with other members
of his GS9 gang.
