Everyone loves a good Snapchat filter, but it seems as one of the most recent ones got the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan in a bit of trouble.
While the social app is getting slammed for its Bob Marley filter, Kylie Jenner, who used it, is being slammed as well for sporting blackface.

The filter, which was added in honor of 4/20, gives the user cartoon dreadlocks, a cap, and a slightly darkened complexion. After the socialite posted her pic to Snapchat, Twitter went into a rage, accusing her of cultural appropriation and blackface.

While many are upset with Kylie, most of the blame is being placed on Snapchat with Aaisha Dadi Patel, a writer for South Africa's Daily Vox, attacking the idea that Bob Marley's image is being trivialized by the app.

"The filter is a form of blackface, cultural appropriation, and totally problematic... This is a caricature of a Black person," she said. "Besides that, Snapchat is reducing the legacy of a musical great to smoking weed."
