Michael Jordan,
his legendary NBA career and his incomparable brand of sneakers has been
synonymous with rap for nearly two decades. That's why it came as such a
shock last week when N.O.R.E told the Rap Rader podcast that Jumpman himself didn't really care for hip hop.
The rapper says Jordan revealed his distaste for rap music and rappers at — of all places — a Def Jam Christmas party. "I seen him shut Redman down at a Def Jam Christmas party. We were all sitting there waiting to speak to Michael Jordan. Ni**as said, 'Yo Redmand and Method Man is here.' [MJ] said 'F**k rap.' I seen the n***a say that....Quote me," N.O.R.E. insisted. "I believe it was Redman and Method Man, and I'm to the side, so I can directly hear his voice. He was like, 'F**k rap.' That sh** hurt me. Def Jam Christman party,Mariah Carey hosting and sh** like that. He only spoke to Hov, but he spoke to Hov. That's without a doubt."
Bullsh*t, says Jordan. According to the NBA icon's rep, Jordan never made the comments, and furthermore maintains he has never even met N.O.R.E.

On Thursday, Jordan's rep, Estee Portnoy told TMZ Sports,"MJ
wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL
music." Adding, ""Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his
with the Charlotte Hornets."
Is Jordan telling the truth, or could he just be trying to save face for the sake of sneaker sales and his legacy? We'll have to wait and see if N.O.R.E. comes back with any further proof.
