Protest as teacher flogs student to death in Ibadan
Students of IMG Secondary School, Oke Ado, Ibadan, on Wednesday, went
on rampage following the death of one of their colleagues allegedly
flogged to death by a teacher.
The student reportedly slumped and gave up the ghost as a result of the severe punishment from a teacher for arriving late to school.
Invaluable properties of the school were destroyed by the students who took to protest before the members of Nigerian police force came to rescue the situation.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained as at press time while policemen had cordoned off the area.
An eye witnesses who claimed anonymity said

Candidates seeking admission to tertiary institutions will have to abide by new rules from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), According to Punch reports.
This is because the examination body has modified its procedure for students seeking admission for the 2016-2017 academic session with the introduction of the “preferred choice” platform in its portal.
This new addition will enable candidates have wider opportunities of securing admission as sales of form for the session commenced on September 30 to end on January 30, 2016.

Kelvin, who has always been fascinated with creativity, grew up in a tough council estate. Having little money those days, he spent most of his time teaching himself to draw and pushing himself to get better. At about age 15, the reaction of parents and teachers made it clear to him that he was born to draw. After his A-Levels at St Ignatius College, he went for a one year course in Foundation Art & Design at City & Guilds Art School. He then proceeded to Middlesex University where he got a B.A. Honours in Fine Art.

Transgender woman sent to all male prison sparking fears for her safety
The make-up artist was jailed for 12 weeks after admitting an assault during an incident in a bar last Christmas.
But magistrates ruled Tara should serve her sentence inside a Category-B male prison because her passport says she is still a man.Her mum condemned the move saying even doctors have confirmed she is now a woman.

Prostitute dies after marathon sex in Enugu...
A commercial sex worker, simply identified as Roseline ,died on Sunday morning at a brothel in Obollo-Afor, Udenu Council Area, after marathon sex with three customers.One Ikechukwu Oga has been arrested in connection with the death.A source disclosed to Daily Post that Ikechukwu had gone in for his turn, after two other customers, adding that on the process, Roseline died.
Also, according to the spokesman of the Enugu State command of the Nigeria Police, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, Ikechukwu, who is now the suspect bargained with Roseline and was asked to come back later as someone was already on the line.

Malique can be referred to as a newbie in the
Nigerian music industry but his delivery of lyrics and sound gets him in
the pack of the new artists set for the takeover in the industry.
Born 22 years ago in Zaria, Nigeria, Malique is an
Afro-fusion singer who started carving a niche for himself as a student
of the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, where he graduated with a BSc in

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the removal of the head of service of the federation, Danladi Kifasi with immediate effect. Kifasi has been asked to proceed on terminal leave. No replacement announced yet.

According to a report, Doctors at a private hospital in the town had, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, certified Otene dead at 4.30 a.m. and wheeled him into the mortuary where his was for 30 hours awaiting instructions from members of the family for embalming.
According to reports, Otene had had a toothache and was rushed to the private clinic, on Tuesday, August 25. A day later, he was certified dead and the doctors whose names were not mentioned in the report wanted to embalm him but because there was no family member to give the go-ahead, they instructed that his body be wheeled to the morgue.
30 hours later, Eche Otene, the son of the ‘deceased’, who lives in Lafia, Nasarawa State, went to the morgue to identify his father's body, however when he got there, his father raised his hand to acknowledge the presence of his son and followed that gesture by sitting up on the mortuary trolley.

FRSC Disown "Staff" Who was arrested by Fayose for breaking Traffic Rules...
The Ekiti State Command of the FRSC made the position of the Corps known in a statement on Saturday.
Fayose had on Thursday apprehended a man identified as Adeola Alabi in the uniform of the FRSC for driving against the traffic.
The governor had the offender’s car impounded and directed traffic authorities in the state to impose maximum penalty on him.
But the Ekiti State Command of the FRSC, through the Sector Commander, Stanley Chinedum, said Alabi was not known to the Corps in whatever form.
